Golden Square Caravan Park identified an opportunity to repurpose an empty barn on-site. The idea to install a padel court came after Josh, a member of the park’s team, discovered the sport and recognised its growing popularity and accessibility. Rather than expanding traditional leisure options, the team chose padel as a unique attraction that would differentiate the park from competitors while appealing to a wide demographic.
The key objectives were introducing a new activity for guests, attracting visitors from the surrounding area, creating an additional revenue stream, and supporting long-term business sustainability and increased trading potential.
The client discovered Padel Build UK through an online search. A major factor was the personalised approach from the outset, with Head of Sales Mark Lancett personally contacting the client to discuss the project in detail. Having a local representative based near Scunthorpe also provided reassurance, and a site visit allowed the team to assess the barn space and collaboratively plan the installation.
The installation process was described by the client as straightforward and stress-free. From design through to completion, communication remained clear and consistent, and the project was delivered on schedule and within the agreed budget. One challenge during planning was securing permission within a National Parks planning environment, a process requiring careful coordination and patience.
I would rate my satisfaction 10 out of 10. The installation process was seamless, delivered by professional and knowledgeable team members, ensuring reliable execution with no unexpected issues.
The completed court has successfully introduced a new recreational offering to Golden Square Caravan Park, enhancing the overall visitor experience while opening new commercial opportunities. The project highlights how padel courts can revitalise underused spaces and provide rural leisure businesses with modern, high-demand attractions.
